Work starts at Newbattle

Work has started at Morris Road in Newbattle to provide 90 new Passive house homes on the former Newbattle High School site.

The project is a step forward in Midlothian Council’s ambitious aspiration to become carbon net zero by 2030, as part of their climate change strategy.

The development will provide a mix of affordable social rent flats, houses and accessible bungalows for Midlothian Council, and forms part of a wider programme to deliver Passive house standard homes in Midlothian.
