We are delighted to have secured Planning Permission for 149 new homes for Thistle Phase 3 in Craigmillar on behalf of our Client Places for People (subject to legal agreement).
This mixed-tenure project is the next phase of development in the Thistle area by Places for People and follows on from the successful previous phase at Tudsbery Court. The proposals include 2 and 3 bedroom houses and 1, 2 and 3 bedroom flats in a mix of tenures including Affordable Rent, Older Persons’ Housing, Mid-Market Rent and Shared Equity. The new housing is set in carefully considered streetscape and high quality landscaping providing private gardens, generous shared greens and new public areas.
SSM have acted as Design Team Leader/Project Manager on the project and are joined by Will Rudd Davidson, Arcadis, Keenan Consultancy and Peter Graham and Partners.
The team is currently working towards a start on site at the end of 2016.
