As it gets colder, we are all beginning to wrap up warm in our favourite coats, hats and scarves. However, there are those who are unable to afford to do so. To help, we collected unwanted coats as part of The Leith Collective CIC‘s Winter Coat Exchange, with Amna and Sarah delivering our donations last week to The Leith Collective’s Ocean Terminal store.
Warm coats are vital for Edinburgh winters. The scheme is a great proactive step which responds to the cost-of-living crisis as well as offering a sustainable solution to keeping clothing out of landfill.
For those that need them, coats are available free of charge, no questions asked. Please look out for collection points around the city and donate your unwanted coats.
