Planning has recently been submitted for 46 affordable homes in Penicuik for Midlothian Council, to be delivered by CCG (Scotland) Ltd.
Set within the Mauricewood Development to the north of Penicuik, on the south-east boundary of the wider development, the proposal overcomes significant topographical challenges, most notably a 1:10 slope running north to south on the site, to deliver accessible and affordable housing.
The development will comprise a mix of flats and houses, with accommodation ranging from two to four bedrooms, providing much-needed affordable homes. The mix has been informed by local needs and will address identified gaps in affordable housing provision. All homes will be for Midlothian Council.
With a variety of house types and sizes, the scheme is designed to support a diverse range of residents and contribute positively to the growth of the wider area.
