Eugene Mullan

Architect, Urban Designer, & Director
BSc Hons, DipArch, MScUD, ARB, FRIAS, RIBA, ARTPI, FRSA

As an architect and urban designer, I have a passion for the effective regeneration of neighbourhoods and creation of successful and vibrant places. I bring my significant experience in residential design, placemaking, design for older people and effective consultation to many of our projects.

As a founding Director of Smith Scott Mullan I play a significant role in the management of the practice, and I enjoy nurturing and supporting our team to deliver great projects.

I love to engage in the strategic context in which the practice operates, such as the Scottish Parliament and Architecture & Design Scotland. I am proud to be a director of SURF Scotland’s Regeneration Forum, a BE-ST Innovation Champion, a founding Director of Causeway – Ireland Scotland Business Exchange, a founding Trustee of We Play Together a social enterprise at the Crags Centre, and most recently a Citizen Representative of Edinburgh Integrated Joint Board.

When I’m not working on projects, I enjoy swimming, and watching basketball. Keep an eye out for me cycling around town, on my way to my next meeting.
