Merry Christmas from Smith Scott Mullan Associates!

Some highlights from 2023 include our team being highly commended for Green Skills in the BE-ST Accelerate to Zero Awards, Longniddry Village winning Development of the Year in the Herald Property Awards for Scotland and Development of the Year (100+ homes) in the Homes for Scotland Awards. Stranraer Harbourmaster’s Office commended at the Dumfries & Galloway Design Awards and McDonald Road Community Fire Station winning a commendation at the EAA Awards.

Our Passive House projects at Burnbrae and Buccleuch are finishing up, with another 90 Passive House homes at Newbattle on site. Our team have enjoyed developing designs for the nearly 1,000 new homes as part of the Granton Masterplan. Meanwhile in another part of Edinburgh, construction of 350 affordable homes for rent in West Craigs are well underway. Conservation works to Stranraer Museum are complete, bringing a historic community resource back to life. And last but not least, plans for Destination Hillend to form a new multi-activity national leisure destination on the Pentland Hills (pictured) has been granted planning permission.

Over the holidays, our office will close on the 22nd of December, returning 2nd of January. We wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Holiday season and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
