Expertise / Civic

Focusing on community

We understand the vital importance of creating community assets and we take this responsibility seriously. We work tirelessly with our clients and partners to bring public buildings to life, whether that’s regenerating existing buildings or designing from scratch.

Sustainable and inclusive design

Sustainability and inclusivity sit at the heart of our civic projects. Briefs can be complex and challenging from a number of aspects, from budget restrictions to site constraints. We bring our wealth of experience and dedicated delivery team to each civic project, pulling in our specialisms in retrofit and conservation to complement our civic expertise. The Whitburn Partnership Centre is a great example of this cross-team working on a high profile and complex project to achieve inclusivity in a historic building.

Comprehensive services

From initial brief until post-completion, we work consistently and collaboratively. We apply our local knowledge and in-depth understanding of planning requirements to ensure we give the best advice to clients on even the most sensitive or complex projects. Our dedicated delivery team has the technical expertise to maintain design integrity, while remaining commercially savvy and pragmatic.

You will be pleased to hear that we have doubled the number of visitors since the hangars opened, compared to what we achieved for the same period last year, so all very positive, and visitor comments have been very positive as well. I just wanted to thank you all for your hard work on the project and for helping to make it such a success. It was a pleasure working with you on this project, and I hope I will have the opportunity again in the future.
