The new Club Rooms at Craigie Park, home to Craigroyston Community Youth Football Club and part of our Silverlea affordable housing development in Edinburgh for The City of Edinburgh Council are now officially open.
We attended the official handover by Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council, Councillor Jane Meagher and heard how excited the teams at Craigroyston were to see inside the building for the first time. The club are delighted to be in their new home which includes changing facilities and showers as well as “Craigie Café” which will be open to parents on match days.
The official opening was by ex-Celtic and Scotland Manager Gordon Strachan, who grew up nearby in Muirhouse. Paying tribute to the hard work by the volunteers who give up their time to run the football club, Gordon cut the ribbon to open the Club Rooms and welcomed everyone to enjoy the new facility.
We’re really proud of the impact that the new Club Rooms will have on the club and wish Craigroyston all the best in their new home at Craigie Park.
