Building on University and Practice relationships in his role as President of the Edinburgh Architectural Association, our Associate Ben Rainger recently presented the City of Edinburgh Council Choices for City Plan 2030 and City Mobility Plan 2030 to the University of Edinburgh ESALA Urban Strategies and Design students to set the context and background for student design projects site analysis and brief evolution.
Topics discussed include key sustainability strategies SSM are developing on current projects such as achieving Carbon Zero buildings by 2030 for both new and retrofit, improving health and wellbeing, improving equality and access to resources and creating 20-minute neighbourhoods and a walkable city as well improved decarbonised transport infrastructure.
