Site progress of our Passive House project in Dalkeith
It’s great to see the scaffold coming down at Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith for Midlothian Council. The new build has been revealed for the first time and we think the brickwork by Morris & Spottiswood looks great. The installation of zinc will nicely complete the elevations. Inside, the MVHR fitout is in progress which is really interesting to see, this is our first Passive House project to reach this stage with an MVHR unit design and installation.
On the refurb side of the site, we are using bespoke detailing to enhance the front elevation, which has a mixture of stone and iron within it. New double-glazed windows will be fitted soon, and internal wall insulation installed, which together will improve the thermal performance of the building.
