SALTIRE AWARD SUCCESS FOR TUDSBERY COURT!

SSM and Places for People are delighted to receive a commendation for the ‘Landscape in Housing’ Award for Tudsbery Court, Craigmillar in the Saltire Society Housing Design Awards 2016.

Alistair, Sarah and Rick, together with Neil Ross of Places for People, received the award from the Minister for Housing, Kevin Stewart, at the special ceremony which took place on Thursday 30 June at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation.

The judging panel, guest chaired by Kirsty Wark, praised Tudsbery for its mix of useable external spaces including high quality streetscape, private gardens and secure, vibrant and attractive communal spaces, in this development of 73 new units on the edge of the Thistle Foundation estate in Craigmillar.

Tudsbery Court was also runner up in the ‘Affordable Housing Development of the Year (private builders)’ category at the Scottish Home Awards 2016 in June. We were delighted however to win the ‘Development of the Year (Age Exclusive)’ Award for Fortune Place in Edinburgh at the event.
