HISTORIC BUILDINGS

Many of our projects have involved work on buildings with a strong historic context, either listed or scheduled ancient monuments.  One of our Associates, Rachel Simmonds, has an Accreditation in Conservation Architecture from The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and contributes this knowledge on all projects within the practice.  As this is a highly specialised subject, we also use external consultants for certain aspects and Rachel’s knowledge is vital in co-ordinating these roles.

One of the key aspects of these projects is the liaison which requires to be carried out with the range of statutory and conservation bodies which influence these designs and often control grant funding.
