SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Now a core agenda of almost all major projects, this subject is often described purely in terms of energy use. However, it is more accurately a design process which encompasses the total environmental impact of the project. It is linked to long-term aspirations for the use of the facilities and requires a high degree of client input early in the project.
Our Practice has long been involved in designing buildings which address these agendas. Director Alistair Scott has an Accreditation in Sustainable Building Design from The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland. Associate Neil Patterson is a qualified Eco-Homes Assessor and we are corporate members of the Scottish Ecological Design Association.
