SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Now a core agenda of almost all publicly funded projects, this subject is often described purely in terms of energy use. However, it is more accurately a design process which encompasses the total environmental impact of the project. It is linked to long-term aspirations for the use of the facilities and requires a high degree of client input early in the project.
Our Practice has long been involved in designing buildings which address these agendas and we have written and lectured on the subject. We are corporate members of the Scottish Ecological Design Association and are committed to working on the promotion of these concepts.
