This study was aimed at identifying innovative design approaches to the requirement to retain small business space within the centre of Edinburgh.

Activities such as workshops, motor-servicing and small scale distribution are a vital component of a diverse city environment. The Study investigated how they might be integrated to play a more successful urban design role in the overall city environment.
